What's on My Goal List for 2010

I am praying with every keystroke I make that I pay more attention to my desired goals for the year 2010. Last year I did hit a few of the goals I set, then there were some that I just don't know where I fell off the wagon. But if the Lord let me live a to see each day of 2010 I will do my best to stay more attentive to the things I want to accomplish. Funny thing, the one goal I said for you not to pay attention to me doing..I did! I can't believe it myself. Anyway, here goes (my short list) for 2010...
  • Better Health/fitness...

  • Better Finances...

  • Unclutter my house! Rid of items I am unneccessarily holding on to. (Yard Sale!)

  • Sewing (w/0 giving up) My goal is to sew at least: 1 black skirt suit, 1 coat, 1 pant suit, PJ's for EVERYONE, At least 1 complete wardrobe for summer and fall(now the wardrobe may be a stretch)

  • Create a card a day

  • Participate in more card challenges

  • Create at least 4 LO's a month (reasonable)

There are some other items on my list that are a bit more personal and some just simply not listed. But as I attain those goals, some will be noted as completed at the end of the year.

So, what SMART Goals do you have on your list for 2010?

Last Christmas Card..Promise

I promise this is the last Christmas card I will post..till my early 2010 cards are made. I love this card and even though it will reach the person I'm sending it to late..it's my heart of thoughts to her that counts.
This is NOT the best picture, but I think you can click on it and make it larger. I used my Martha Stewart glitter for the heart and the reindeer (love that stuff). I also used fabric and ribbon along with the boarder pieces I had left over from Scrap's Etc. I miss Scrap's Etc!
This card (below) is actually a birthday card. Don't ask me where that came from in the middle of the holiday..I think I was really itching to use my Make a Wish stamp. I really think I should have added something else to that pink, or maybe a contrasting color like black and white polka dots..I'll have to try that with this same LO. At any rate, I like my card. And I know I will have a hard time giving it away.
Okay...That's all:)

Merry Christmas

May the joy and cheer
That we all feel on this day
Continue to fill our hearts and souls everyday
Then spread like wildflowers
To everyone we come in contact with
As this would eventually make this life on earth
Almost as good as it will be in Heaven
Merry CHRISTmas To All

How About A Floral Arrangement

I purchased this candle stick from Old Time Pottery probably a year ago, for about $5.00..*wonders why I only purchased one*
I tried different candles in it, even a candle with floral around it, just didn't work for me. So I thought, just because it's a candle holder that doesn't mean that's what I have to do with it..I'm so rebellious. LOL
I purchased the feathers while on vacation in Tennessee, on a great sale, and may I add I LURVE THEM..mmmhmmm:). I may have feathers now all over the house after this.
I used some tall grass along with the feathers and cream floral around the base. NOTE: I do not know all the proper names of all floral I use. So keep in mind I will make up my own from time to time:)
Spanish Moss was used to cover the floral foam. Then pieces of moss was hot glued to cover the parts that still peaked through, that's why you can not see the base that would normally hold the candle.
I like it..I think it's kinda wild and soft at the same time.
Now, I just need to get started on my dining table arrangement. It's been empty for a minute too, but I have finally purchased the floral for it..and guess what? More feathers? Tall grass?..hmmm stay tuned and see..LOL

Busy Holi-Days Plus One More

Is it just me or does it seem as if once the month of December hit, it hit the ground running. I can not believe it is the 16th already! I have so many gifts to complete, some have been made but will not make the cut, some have been put on the back burner because it's just not enough time in the day or night for that matter. The ones that did not make the cut are..well..not presentable to say the least;(. I will not give those gifts out, I'm almost shame to donate them to The Foundry, but that's anonymous, right? It is almost 2am and I just finished mixing the ingredients for sausage cheese balls for work tomorrow..well today. And I am debating on baking cookies right now. But I will wait and do that on Wednesday when I get off. I think what I need to is start now for Christmas 2010 and just keep creating that way I will be right on target. I hate that I will have to hold off on some gifts till after Christmas but it happens..moving on. lol

Randomness:
  • I can not understand greediness, that's just plan ignorant and DUDE it's not a great look on you..just say'n
  • I still can't think of what to get my dad for his birthday..got 3 days and opening hours to figure it out
  • I have had the roughest week at work and today is just Tuesday
  • I need to wash UGH!
  • Listening to the radio after 1am is not good..that's when they play the best songs (at this rate I will not go back to sleep..gotta be up at 4:30)
  • I gotta get this package in the mail!
  • Wonders..how many pictures I have stuck on my camera. Better yet, how many more till my card is full..NOTE TO SELF: purchase another card and soon. lol
  • Aaron told us he don't believe in santa..I got excited..the hubster got scared. Don asked where his gifts come from, he replied:"I think it's either this black dude that came to our school dressed like santa or it's Mr. Dudley (the assistant principle) cause when the santa came to the school he was in Mr. Dudley jeep and Mr. Dudley oddly wasn't at school..*DEAD* LMAO!
  • My Christmas tree this year is pityful..nuff said
  • I finally purchased the floral for my dining table's empty container..container still empty:)
  • I have said a lot of cuss words this week (remember today is only Tuesday). Must repent..then eat soap!
  • Since December 1 for some odd reason I am eagerly in search for the perfect New Years gathering..must be classy and involve the kiddies..did that come across like the Walton's are not hosting this year..ummm yea, maybe in 2011
  • Where are my wire snippers?!!!!!!!!
  • I really shoulda purchased more of these..think they would sell on etsy
  • I need more fat quarters..and what was I thinkin when I purchased >this one<>
  • Think I will order some fat quarters from the Amy Butler collection..she has fab fabric..just fab!
  • My new year's post is turning into a book..gotta be concise. It's beginning to read like a book of Maya's Oh Hell Yes..in my case Oh Hell NO! (don't act like you never watched Girlfriends) lol
  • Saturday I.CAN.NOT.GO.ANYWHERE! I gotta finish the boys blankets.
  • Is this randomness or am I twittering?..and where is my phone!?
  • Scraping a LO is calling my name...I ain't answering (that's just my crafters ADD kickin in but I'm staying focused)
  • Speaking of books..I seriously need a book to read and the time to read it..BUT I can't wait till January..New KLR book comes out *screams* Need to start on the late E. Lynn Harris's collection
  • I really need to submit this soon, before someone else does it..like really
  • Need to contact some friends and tell them to save their dish liquid bottles for me.
  • Dang! I really shoulda purchased more of these *looks for notebook to jot down*
  • this stitch and post thing is really not working..lemme finish stuffing this thing and close it up!! Staying up late and posting random thought's is not good..too much thinking time on your hands..PLUS I'm tired of sticking myself with this pin! Night Yall..oops Morning Yall! lol

Have a wonderful Wednesday crafters!

What I'm lov'n right now..

About two weeks ago I went to DIY Pottery and loved this place. There are so many things there I want to paint for myself and for gifts. We had soo much fun. I painted of course a cup and saucer, you know how much I love coffee and hot tea.

Before being glazed:
And the deliciousness after:

Down to the last drop. Folgers Vanilla Biscotti is the VERY best..well aside from Barney's German Chocolate cake flavor coffee..and well Starbucks carmel cappuccino. Yeah, I have a little addition going on with the coffee's. :)
On to a LO. I was sitting and looking at the huge pile of scrap paper I have in my stash. I really need to use more of it, so I did this.
Every piece of paper used on this LO was from scraps, even down to the part where a chipboard sticker was removed. *Don't ask me why I kept that part..I'm a scrapper* lol This brad did not come out as I wanted it to, it actually looks better in person, but still I kinda didn't like the finished look. Oh and it says, happiness is...

Ok, that's all for right now. I have another post coming up for today, I didn't complete my card so I have to complete it for the contest and take pic's download and post it for a challenge.

Happy Day!!

Holiday Follow up plus a L.O.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I know we sure did, so much so, the pictures I took were just few and far inbetween the laughing and eating. I didn't do a decorative spread this year being that it was just the four of us. So, this year was truly untraditional. But it was a nice laid back and relaxing holiday, and I enjoyed that.

The hubster went hunting, like soon after dinner. lol
I always have a hard time sleeping on the first night of his hunt. You would think after 12 years, I would be use to it. But after the first night I'm good.
Don't ask about that Posted sign...just don't ask:)

I usually don't go shopping on Black Friday, but this year I did a little bit. I mainly needed to go to Hancock for patterns..EASY patterns. (smile) Then the kids took over, asking wheeennn are you going to get our material for our blankets..mom it's on sale half price so get it..Karohn goes, I'll chip in on mine because I want you to make one for a friend also. *Side Note and Eye* Dude, you don't work full time, where are you getting the money to chip in..just asking. Anyway, I decided to get Michael's material later, I know he likes LSU, I also want to do one for Kuyler his roommate (that's leaving Troy for the Marines). I also went to Michaels for inks, stamps and shaped boards. My total purchases was more material than anything.
Anyway, here is what I purchased.
Now on to a couple of LO's

The LO of Aaron was a sketch from Pink Paislee. I will be using this LO again. I can't say what all I used..ummm because I forgot. I know I used some My Minds Eye paper and Jenni Bowlin products and a Jillibean tag.

For Karohn's LO, I went really simple. Using the letters that came attached to the cardstock paper and adding stock paper, a rustic brad, and vintage postcard paper cut to size with journaling on the back.

Well that's all for now. I have a couple more LO's I may post later. And I am also following Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas..Love this guy's work!
Happy Crafting.
