Final Week/Sketch 5 Scrap-a-Long

Wow! The month of March flew by. So sad that this week ends our Scrap-a-Long...**tears**
I really think I'm the only scrapper still scrapping-a-long.

Oh well, it was fun while they lasted:-)

This is my last sketch for this journey. I will continue to scrap, as I'm still working on getting a Scrap 52 gang together to host on my blog *so excited about that*. But it's time for me to move on to some sewing and post some items I have already sewn.

This sketch is from Got Sketch (#68). Valerie Salmon comes up with great sketches.

And again this week I will try my best to get in a second LO from a different sketch, and hopefully complete a couple of card sketch/challenges also.

As always have a wonderful week and

Scrap-A-Long Week 4 LO

Just a quick post today, not a lot to say. I didn't so much as keep up with the products I used (had a lot going on this weekend), but LO #4 is complete. Although I didn't keep my word to complete a card using the same sketch, it is still a work in progress. Here is a card I completed on yesterday using a new stamp. I love Michaels dollar bin.

Embellish Magazine Color Challenge

I had fun with this challenge, first I was all over the board with patterned paper..had to calm myself down:) The colors were everywhere! I decided to go more calm with the colors and whimsy.

For my submission, I decided to complete a LO being that me and my scrappy friends are on a scrap-a-long mission. I also used a sketch from Jana Eubanks sketch blog.

I love this close up of the fabric used. I will soo be using more fabric in my LO's and cards, and I love the frayed edges.
Oh, I didn't add any journaling to the LO mainly because I was at a loss for words..lol
I will be back to post my sketch results for week 4 of our sketch/scrap-a-long.
Happy Crafting!

C25K

Adrienne and I started the C25K challenge/workout...still trying to catch my breath/wind/lungs. lol
I don't know if I will actually make it to the finish line, but I will give it a good try.
This is exactly how I felt after the workout...blurred. Week 1 Day 1 complete..I may need to revisit day 1 before moving on..everything in me hurts.

Ever feel pain in a hair follicle??

Week 4/Sketch 4 Scrap-a-Long

This weeks sketch is a Mojomonday sketch for cards. I will be completing both a LO and card from this sketch.
Actually I will hopefully be completing a couple of different LO's. I have a 8X8 album of Karohn's I really need to get started on. It was suppose to be filled with his senior photos and other things. I really don't want to get too behind on this, so I'm going to get started now.
I'm thinking on using this sketch also. This sketch is provided by Pencil Lines..there are so many to choose from, and I have so many. We will see what I come up with:)

LNO

About two maybe three weeks ago Adrienne and I planned a much needed Ladies Night Out. We all had a very good time.

This drink was ahhh..not so yummy. This is what was suppose to have been a Georgia Peach..let's just say the bartender need a few lessons..tasted more like a mango slushy. The presentation of this drink plus the taste use to be #1.

The meal was delish..and a LOT! Lightly breaded in panko and lightly fried chicken breast, garlic mashed potatos and asparagus. This was soo three meals, but really good. I love asparagus with anything. And of course a final pic..the group pic. At this point we ALL had the itis. Oh and I think this was the first time we all didn't have our BB in our hands..lol

Oh and the ladies LOVED their giftbaskets, they were really surprised..thanks PBAdrienne! Can't wait till April's Movie Night! I have something up my sleeve..mmmhmmm.
Until next time Happy Crafting:)

Bird'Z - Sketch 3

I soooo love these pictures of Aaron. The birds were beautiful.

I'm also lovin this green and chocolate polka dot paper..wish I had purchased more than one sheet.
Now that I look at it..I think I may add another ribbon or a thin strip of pattern paper to this LO..looks a bit empty between the ric rac and camouflage ribbon. The letters used on this page were too bright so I toned them down by inking the edges with brown pigment ink.The birds attached to the journal card were created using a Martha Stewart punch. I really like these journal Sprouts wish they came in black.
This next LO is a throw in (nope not a throw back..hehe). This is one where I saw the sketch and knew exactly what picture I wanted to use for it. The sketch is a Jana Eubanks design.
Can you tell I ran out of the n's..lol..soo not funny. But I did what I thought was best..used a U:)
Ahh the bingo card..FOUND IT! Didn't know I had any of these small ones left, then I happen to find like 4 of the large ones too. I think Jenni Bowlin acted as Santa and dropped them off, because I do not remember purchasing the large ones. But I'm happy:)

The leaves on this page are actually wooden. There were a part of a craft package from somewhere..lol. I can't seem to get rid of these little guys. Oh and the tagged ribbon, again is Jillibean Soup (feels like I'm making a commercial for them:)
Anywho..I'm now off to start on Week 4/Sketch4 and a couple of other projects......
Scrap you guys latte!
Have a FAB weekend:)

Cheesy Chicken Pizza Loaf

This was so ooey gooey cheesy fatty good. But I must admit..it could have been better, but the kids ate it ALL up. :)

First, what I will change if I cook this again...the red sauce used - YES! Change it AND season it..yup that's a must for cheap tomato sauce. I would also either cut out some of the bread or flatten the loaf a bit..I think I would perfer flatting the loaf. The reason I choose that options is because of the tomato sauce used, the loaf can soak a bit of it up but yet maintain the cheeses you top it with.
On this pizza loaf *I have no better name for it*..I used an Italian herbed bread loaf, cut open and sliced in half. Tomato sauce, chicken breast seasoned and baked, cheddar blend/mozzarella/and what ever other cheeses I had on hand:), black olives and kalamative olives, and dried parsley (will use fresh next time). Layer it all on, slide it back in the oven till the cheese is al melty and the bread is a bit crunchy and enjoy.
This is something I actually made due to my being in a rush. I used what I had on hand that was quick..the chicken had already been baked (was leftovers). This is one of those things you can make that's quick and small kids will love you for it, especially if you make it in the middle of the week instead of vegetables.

Why don't you try your own version and let me know the results. Next time, for myself I will use either a tortilla soft shell or pita bread. And I will have spinach on hand and maybe even some aparagus..I love that stuff!!
*NOTE* I have had to change my post (can you tell?) instead of a weekly soup I will post a recipe each week on Wednesdays..I think my family is sick of the soups. But for some reason they keep requesting the taco soup..go figure:)
Enjoy!

Beautiful

This LO is the completion of my wk2/sk2 scrap-a-long. Although I've been mighty busy, I am soo enjoying this scrap-a-long.

And a upclose of the blingage...O how I love blingage

Supplies:
Card Stock: Bazzil
Pattern Paper: Basic Grey (Ambrosia), The Paper Studio (Vintage Black Damask)
Embellishments:
Butterfly: Brenda Walton (boxed items)
Ribbon: Michaels brand
Florish
Journal Strip (title) Bo Bunny (A gift of love)

And it's baby time again...I can not wait for Ryan to get here!!!

I have no clue why I didn't keep up with the products I used, but I know it was all basic. I used my cricut to cut the baby carriage (Paper Dolls cartridge). I also used a portion of ribbon to create the effect of a baby blanket hanging over the carriage.
The small card will be used for the giftbasket...I will probably re-upload these cards to show when I make and take pictures of the baby giftbasket.

Happy Crafting!

Week 3/Sketch 3 Scrap-a-Long

This sketch is from Valerie Salmon's got sketch blog. Sketch #96

I will get busy on this maybe tomorrow night. My to do list is so jammed pack, I don't know where to begin. I'm so excited about getting in my yard, but at the same time I'm decluttering closets, cabinets, etc:) Why does this may me happy? lol

This is a partial finish of wk2/sketch2 of our SAL. The sketch I used was an addition to my original choice of sketches. Please excuse the fact that I used my child's air hockey table to take the picture. It was so gloomy out I couldn't take the picture outside like I wanted to.
*Side note* I'm getting busy on creating a light box to take my pictures in:)

I love this acrylic frame. I added bronze brads to each of the holes on the frame.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pattern Paper: Cosmo Cricket (Magical Portals and Cogsmo Links)
Scallop Boarder: ??
Blue/Brown polka dot: Making Memories Spiral Journaling Book (Just Chillin' Boy)
Embelishments:
Arrow Brads: The Paper Studio (Spare Parts)
Badge Button: Making Memories (Just Chillin' Line)
Clear Frame: Walmart crafts
Bronze eyelets: ??
Letters: Felt Thickers

I'll be back tomorrow with my other LO from wk 2's SAL.

Birthday Cards

This card is so late to the intended recipient it's past riduculious! I have some other items that were to be made an sent along with the card and they are not complete.

I think this card is so very sweet...the colors and the lace makes me think of a 10 year old that I know that loves pink and green:) I may just have to make her something similar as a LO.

I made this card by cutting (a finished size) of 5X5. Green polka dot cardstock is from Martha Stewarts spring color pack, decorative paper I think was by SEI or Basic Grey. Embellished with pearls, pink lace and the number 5 is glitter Thickers.
Simple and sweet.
The 5 year old that was suppose to receive this would probably be really mad with me if she were a little older. I will just add to her gift package and hopefully that will make up for my tardiness *sorry*. I also have another package that was suppose to have been mailed off like yea...January..it's still sitting in my studio, guess I will add to that package also, like finish the card holder I haven't started yet and get it OUT and in the mail. I will do better, that's all I can do eh..

Until next time..keep those fingers crafting.

Thank You

This is sooo not a good pic, but I'm working on a light box to take my pictures in..more on that later.
I made these thank you note cards about a week ago for the LNO giftbaskets that Adrienne made. I actually made another card first, but it didn't make the cut, so I had to start over...scrap happens. I don't know why it was so hard for me to create the thank you cards, but I was pleased with the out come. Then in the end I ran out of satin ribbon so I had to convert to using a narrow grosgrain ribbon. It had a different effect, but was cute all the same. I used a basic chocolate colored card stock for the base, finished cut size 3 1/2 X 3 1/2. I think the butterfly paper is SEI, and the striped paper is Martha Stewart spring card stock pack (12X12 sheets). Basic satin ribbon, thank you stamp from Michaels $1 bin.

The baskets were a hit, they were provided by Pampered by Adrienne. All the ladies loved it. I will post pics of the baskets, our LNO and links to Pampered by Adrienne a little later. I also have some sewn gifts to post.

Until next time Happy Crafting!

Week 2/Sketch 2 - Scrap-a-Long

UPDATED: I'm adding another sketch. I have pictures I think would be really good for this sketch. Just got to figure how out how I will turn it into a double LO, I really like these pics I'm going to use:) This is a Jana Eubanks sketch #41.

This is the sketch I will be using this week. This is taken from RL2C sketch #102. The sketch itself i very pretty, I see lots of possiblilites in this one...maybe more than one LO. BBL

Snow Day

Same sketch just another LO. This one was just a quickie, this is a picture I have to scrap twice one for the family book and one for Aaron's book. So you may see this picture again.Gotta love those thickers:) I stacked some of the punched snow flakes for a little dimension. I like for my LO's to have a little height/thickness to them.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Bazzill, Cosmo Cricket (Twist & Shout), Paper stack, Provo
Letters: Glitter Thickers
Tools: Martha Stewart snowflake punch, Martha Stewart mini dots

I think I'm done with this sketch, time to move on to some cards. I decided that with every sketch I use for my weekly LO's, I will also create a card using the same sketch. So on to create my card before Friday..

May the craft mojo be with you:)

**OH OH before I forget..NO SOUP OF THE WEEK FOR THIS WEEK. Sorry it will pick back up on next week**

Siblings

My first page for the scrap-a-long..wooohooo:) This is week 1 LO.

But yet he is super silly..go figure. I so love this dragonfly. I'm going to go back and ink the edges of the folded paper and maybe the wings of the dragonfly.
I love love love crackle, almost more than I love MS glitters...almost.

Supplies:
Cardstock: My Mind's Eye -Backyard Adventure Dragonfly/Brown
Polkadot paper: My Mind's Eye (both)
Brown paper: Scrap pack
Letters: Shelf brand
Tools: Cricut, Home Decor template - Dragonflies
