Ever have those times when you just couldn't stay sleep..well this is what happened a couple of weeks ago when I couldn't .I think I could have added more flair to this card, but I wanted something a bit different. And finally, a different kind of birthday card for a small child.

I really need to purge the cards I have on hand. Maybe it's time for a little donation to clear out my card box. Then I will set up shop to sell my cards live, on etsy, and/or on facebook. I'm really trying to get into making card sets, we will see how that goes..

Brown Challenge #1

David Mann (Brown) is just totally hilarious! Cynta, Kim ,and I loved completing a challenge using Brown's attire, that we decided to do one more. Now this picture is a bit fuzzy/blurry but it is what it is..HAHA (been wanting to say that for a while).

That's all I have to say about this card..one to the next challenge:)

YES!! My very first "sewn by me" dress.

Pattern Description: Misses/Womens Dress
Pattern Sizing: 16 - 24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Some what
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes and No..this is the dress initially had me in tears. But overall it was easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern was fine
Fabric Used: Lightweight stretch knit/cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made no alterations, but next time I will shorten the sleeve length by 1"
Would you sew it again? Yes, I plan on re-sewing it very soon.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes
Conclusion: The dress it self I love. There are minor flaws in this dress; after all it's my first dress. I realize the next time I sew this dress, I should go down a size and make my sleeve lenght shorter.

I don't know how I forgot to "publish" this post..

Well this is the last of what I completed on NSD about two weeks ago..LOL

I Love these guys!

Wish I had purchased more of those claim check tabs, especially being that I messed this one up with my off kilter date stamp.Yes, I am just now getting around to scrapping our LAST YEAR summer vacation:)

I do hope to be all caught up by summer's end on scrapping. My goal is to have all photo's scrapped no later than a month after it was originally taken..yea I know..good luck on that one huh? LOL

Silly Faces - NSD

Here again is more of what I accomplished on NSD. I had never thought of posting the bookmarks or tags I've done before, until I saw a blog where a scrapper had some posted..just never thought anyone would be interested in bookmarks. SILLY:
Although we love bookmarks, especially Aaron. He ask for a new one almost every week:) This bookmark was..well it was already shaped and cool the way is was. It actually was a tag from a pair of jeans we purchased for Aaron, all I did was add this little personalized embellishment to it and gave it back to him. He was really pleased. I will share more bookmark/tags with you all later, some are old and some current ones.

I love love love this picture of Aaron..he is wayy too silly. We went to the zoo back in October for Boo in the Zoo, he was so happy..me..well I was soooo cold. lol When he saw this skeleton he thought it was too funny, I didn't know what he was doing at first till i walked up further and saw what he was memicking..lol

I love the use of staples:)

These pictures were taken maybe last spring. We were at the movie theatre waiting on our movie to start and Mr. Man started taking pictures of himself making ALL KIND OF FACES..in public. lol-wasn't that funny at the time. And everyone know, if you take a picture and leave it on my camera..it just may get scrapped - SO CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED:)

Yallll, don't ask me what type of flower this is I made..just know I like it and I'm sticking with it. HAHA! I didn't realize till now that the ___ had shifted..yeah, if you guys don't see the error I'm not going to tell you what it is *note to self: gotta fix that*Hope you all had a wonderful NSD..you know I did:)

Mail for Aaron

Wow!! I have not altered anything in many many years, but this was too much fun.
Aaron has been asking me to alter/scrap him a mailbox for a while. At first, I really didn't know what direction I wanted to go with the look of the mailbox. I didn't want it too kiddy, so I had to drop using the Cosmo Cricket "robot" paper I already had on hand (had to be mindful of my 21 day financial fast). To cover the mailbox, I used a lot of MME papers. The postcards are actually not postcards, it's patterned 'postcard' paper cut up (which explains the different sizes of the cards). I used twine to cover all the seams of the mailbox, and coated the entire box with Royal Coat Satin decoupage finish to seal it all. I'm looking forward to altering more often too..

Aaron loves his mailbox and so do I:)

Hellooo Brown- (Inter) National Scrapbooking Day

This picture is just too funny, it was taken from the movie Meet the Brown's by Tyler Perry. I watched this movie as a part of my movie line up to scrapbook on National Scrapbook Day (May 1, 2010). It was actually the very first movie of my line up.
This is what happened..I was scrapping a page and had gotten stuck on where I wanted to go as far as embellishing my page, I sat back and started actually watching the movie then...BAM!! There was Brown with this awful "outfit" on, LOL. And there came my inspiration for a card:

At first this card had me a bit dizzy with all the colors and patterns..but I really like it, like REALLY like it:)

Making this card was really fun/funny and has actually spun off..more on that coming soon. In the meantime, enjoy the picture of Brown and the card. The rest of this week will be post/undates of what I crafted on NSD.
