All Night Scrap

Friday night I participated in a friendly all night conference call scrap with Cynta and Kim. It was great! These ladies are too funny. Kim was the first one to drop off about 2am due to her all day crop on Saturday. Cynta and I stayed up till about 6am and 4am respectively. I think had we not both had something to do that day (being that it was already Saturday) we would have kept going.Because I rarely complete LO's of myself, I decided I should do more of those. This is one of those incompleted LO's..I want to add a bit of paint to it or use some of the tattered angels line. Plus I want another something on it, dunno what that'll be yet tho.

Can yall tell I love feather's? I think they are just so fun to work with.

And of course you know I love the vintage look. I'm always totally inspired by Rachael Zoe..I was thinking on giving up our cable till I heard she has been granted another season..wooohooo.

I love (and so does Aaron) scrapping him on his skateboard. If Aaron ever get the chance to meet Tony Hawk my child will probably faint. On this LO, I also need to add the memories at the head of the page by the letter A.

Staples and ribbon is what I like.

I also created a 8X8 LO. Sometimes I have the hardest time creating small LO's, I will though put in more time to create smaller scrapbooks.
Overall, I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. We talked, laughed, got hungry and fought the urge and did it all over gain. Then I was up at 7 preparing to head out the door for some Saturday fun:)

Love That Smile

KJ is such a ham!! I love my little BIG nephew. And I also love the fact that he likes to see me take out my camera. Remember I told you I've started on Christmas in June, I got a little winded toward the end of the month so I have a bit of catching up to do. But I AM on my roll..

I love using different patterns together. Sometimes I even like to put on my color blind glasses, but this time I stayed within range. I purchased this key and a couple more from a vintage like market like a year or so ago. I love these keys..gotta go back there to see what she has now.

Well, that's all I have (not really) to share for right now.
Have you started on your Christmas gifts yet? What are you waiting on?

B5363/Sewn 1 Take 2

Remember in June when I made this dress. I just couldn't wait to remake it, because the first one I made was just to big. Well..the second one is still a bit big, and I actually cut the pattern down a size. I think I need to have my measurements re-taken.

(I look so mean in this pic?) LOL

If you would notice the bodice portion doesn't fit snug at all, there's a gap right under my arm on both sides. That part should be rather snug. And, the tie seriously get on my nerve, I would love if it would stay straight. This time I didn't shorten the dress length, although I was tempted:). I used a linen fabric purchased from Hancock, I wish I had more. I love linen. Also this time it took me about 4 hours to complete the dress, and that was with only 3 interruptions. Overall, the dress is still a hit. I'm going to ONE DAY take my time and take the dress apart and take it in.

My husband and mom were quite impressed with it. My mom has now requested that I make her one. I'm really going to take my total time with her dress I want it to come out perfect.

Oh and please forgive the wrinkles..I almost forgot to take a pic in the dress. This was taken after we had been outside in the heat most of the day.
Anyway...let's get back to sewing

Challenges

I'm in the mood for challenges..so hang tight This week will be FULL of challenges I've completed. Let's just hope I complete them all in time. This may also cause me to post more than once a day.
Also, after the month of July, I may be on a posting schedule. I think I work best when everything is on an agenda. That way I can see what I need to do and just let the mojo flow.

This weekend I managed to squeeze out 2 1/2 LO's. I stayed up late with Cynta and we scrap/talked, it was fun. Here are the two LO's I completed.

I love the peacock feather! Notice I didn't have all the proper letters so I got creative, or rather cre-8-v:). I also stamped butterflies on the pink card stock to take up the negative spaces on the page. And added a small pearl to each butterfly. I totally adore pearls, I wear them with just about anything, casual wear including jeans.

This LO made me want to immediately head back to Tennessee. I can never get enough of Gaitlingburg/Piegon Forge, TN. On this LO, yet again I use almost everything from my craft paper. I can almost never trash the "My Mind's Eye" company name on the card stock. I just love the way it looks on a LO. And in using this piece, my point (that may or may not be seen) was to say U R My Mind's Eye..to Don. Maybe that was a little deep to most, but I like that touch. I'm sure he will to once I show it to him:)
Sorry for the dim lite picture. I really shouldn't take pictures in my studio, the color of the room has a bad effect on certain colors.

Anyway, there you have it..now go get cre8v.
