Sneak Peak - Take 1

Paper Towel Holders, inks, corragated paper, decor papers, glue/double sided tape...what could it all be?

One thing is for sure, I can't get enough cardboard from paper towels. Can't wait till my next roll runs out. I'm almost there:)

Sneak Peak - Take 2 coming soon..

Lovely

I love the way this card came out. I've been playing with ruffling my ribbon lately, but only narrow ribbon. I think I'm a bit nervous about using a wider ribbon, I can't picture how the outcome will be. But, I will try that soon.

I cut an A6 size base, used double sided tape for my ruffling (ribbon), cut a piece of card stock to size (core'dinations), added a love tag and chipboard flower. THENNNN I decided to stamp the word "Lovely" where the pearls are now resting. HA! I goofed on the stamp and moved it so it was blurred. I always pre-stamp on my little stamp pad or on the cover of an old card stock book. The pre-stamp worked just fine..got over to my card and poof!! ARGHH!! So what is a crafter to do on such a lovely card..*think think* then there it was..erase it with a nail file..it's core'dinations paper after all. YES!!! LOL

Although, I feel like I can still see the word, I know I did a good job at conceiling the goof. And to blend it all in I also sanded a couple more spots on the card. Go Me! ^_^

Next up..Inspiration

While thumbing (well I actually used more than my thumb but you get the point) thru a Traditional Homes magazine (love this magazine) I see this top. Now most that know me, know I am NOT a fan of wearing purple. But this blouse is sweet. It's so simple, classy, just down right pretty. Although it has lots of pleating going on, I'm willing to do this. I would also like for my blouse to not fall below my hips as this one does. But I would certainly like to sew this very soon AND in purple:)

SO! I decided to look for patterns that are a close match..Here I found B5527 and I already have this one. YAAY!!

Then I found B5248 and ummm I dunno. Maybe I'll stick with the above pattern that I already have.

Sew what do you think?

All Day Crop - Cards

About two weeks ago, I attended a all day crop. Somehow, I only made 4 cards, but the crop was great and I can't wait till the October crop. I will actually stay ALL DAY/NIGHT next time.

All of my cards were cut to the A2 size (base).

I stamped the frame and the word hello on this tag, then used glitter pens to highlight the butterfly.

This card ended up being incomplete until I went home..I left my pearls at home and I felt that would make the card a little prettier.

Don't you just love the miniture safety pins? I got them at Joann's at a fabulous cost..$0.97. And the cork letters were $0.50..gotta love the clearance section.

And a view of the card with the pearls added.

This card was made for Karohn's 20th birthday. I can't believe he's 20 already. The flower is a rub-on.
And that's all folks. On my next ADC, I will accomplish more..I hope.

Hope

Now faith is the assurance of things HOPED for, the conviction of things not seen.

I created this card for a very special friend that just received a promotion. My hopes and prayers were answered. I'm so happy for her, this promotion is much deserved and well received.

Congratulations CR!!

Birthday Card and Book Marker

These are some items I made for Aaron's birthday. He didn't have a party this year, it was just my immediate family. But he was quite tired anyway, we spent the entire weekend with him out and about. I think he went just about everywhere he ever thought he wanted to go so by the time we made it home he was knocked out sleep..just the way I like it. Thing is we were tired too:) My mom insisted on pinning money on him the day before, so I decided to use a name badge she had to make him one instead of using a safety pin. I personally don't like the pinning of money on people..but heyHis birthday card. He loves this paper and really wanted it made into something for himself. I think the card is a bit old for him, but he love it.

I love these little metal looking birthday plates I found eons ago at Big Lot's for a dollar. The global paper is Heidi Swapp and the card stock is core'dinations (love that stuff)

I used the same paper for one side of his bookmark..y'all know he had to have another bookmark. But this is truly his LAST ONE for a long while.

I used Crackle Accent to create the crackle within the metal frame/plate. Once it dried I used Diamond Glaze to adhere the mini safety pin.

And for the opposite side..paint splatter and a bronze letter. I love splattering paint on projects.
You better not sit your projects down for long around me, once you come back it may have paint all over it:)

Fall Is In The Air

Fall is in the air..
I love this season, the change in the temperature, the various colors of fall...football:)
But seriously, I love the colors of nature. I love getting out and exploring it, embracing all the beauty that fall has to offer. God's canvas of life..it's a beautiful thing.

And here we are, all alone enjoying the day. Taking a walk, seeing the sights, breathing the fresh crisp air, watching others fish and ride their skido's..embracing life

Enjoy Nature!

Love

I'm always excited about the Embellish Magazine challenges. Although this time I got a little stumped, lol. I had the hardest time sticking with the square for some reason.

Up close look at the florish and floral. This is my very first handmade flower that came out almost good. I'm getting there though and I'm proud of it ^_^

I used a purple and lavendar blend of Core'dinations paper. I couldn't decide whether I should have dry embossed the flowers before bending the petal so I just left it as it. I think I will try the embossed version next time.
Since making this flower, I've been on floral making frenzy. And I think the florish just adds a lifted touch to it..I love florish.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday Aaron!!
On this day eleven years ago, we had another wonderful and, beautiful gift delivered. A gift from God..Aaron. Although we had prayed not only for a healthy baby, we prayed for a little girl. We even had her name chosen..Amber Symone, it what it would have been. Although, we did not have a girl, we were and still are so happy that you came into our lives. You have been a blessing to us all.
You were such a good baby, woke up every morning singing, never crying. Only cried when it was truly something wrong and even then it wasn't much of a cry.

You are so fun loving, you love people and being surrounded by family. It's so exciting to you when you meet someone "new" that's a part of your family. Anytime we introduce you to someone new, you always whisper and ask..is that my cousin/aunt or uncle:-) And you are always looking for the next cook out..lol

On this day eleven years ago, we were again truly blessed. Blessed, I say because God gave you to us and has trusted us to care, love and nurture you and that is truly a blessing.

Again, happy birthday Aaron and we wish you many many more fun loving and silly days and years to come. We love you!

Happy Birthday to my baby!
