Welcome to my first edition of papercrafting 2013! This is going to be such a wonderful journey, I can just feel it. I'm truly excited about what 2013 holds for me and I am ready.
I hope you all have enjoyed celebrating the beginning of the new year with family and friends. I certainly had a great time and some hard and heavy laughter. Great times makes for great memories...
That being said, now on to my LO.
This picture as silly as it may be (from 2012) I absolutely love it. I'm almost sure I've scrapped it before and I will not lie and say you won't see me use it again. For this LO, once again I had no pattern thought or process. I just pulled some items I felt I wanted to use and some I have stashed that had never been opened or used. The only goal I had in mind was to start using up scrap remains from previous projects.
All of the pattern paper seen here are scrap pieces from past projects, with the exception of the ruler print paper. I've been hoarding this paper by October Afternoon I think from the Scrapbook Expo back in June. I've since learned to always purchase two sheets of the paper I love if not three.
The leafage is fussy cut from some mystery patterned paper I had in my stash. And don't you just love the metal butterfly and hindge? I know I do, so ask me why I've never opened or used either...hmmm.
Just an upclose view of the mixture of flowers used and the misted seed stems used. The seed stems are actually from Michael's floral department. I cut bits of the stems and misted them with Tattered Angels Leather mist. Hot glue was used to adhere them behind the floral petals.
The last element used was a key I tucked behind some color altered lace. I love using keys on almost everything, so of course this was no different.
I had SO much fun misting and inking and gessoing (LOL that is not a word) this LO. Getting your fingers all messy is just a part of the creative process, which seemed to have proven theraputic...ahhhh
Like I said, I can feel that this will be a great creative year for me and I am SO excited about it.

Great layout, I love all the different elements.
